We understand the challenges of large breasts and the difficulty of finding a qualified surgeon. Let us guide you through breast reduction surgery and answer any questions you may have.

Breast Reduction Surgery

Breast reduction surgery can help women who are unhappy or self-conscious about the shape of their breasts. Breast reduction involves removing excess fat, tissue, and skin to make your breasts appear smaller and more lifted.

Not all cases require breast reshaping. Some women seek breast reduction to help relieve back and neck pain as a result of large breasts or to achieve a breast size that is more fitting to their bodies if they have exceptionally large breasts.

Benefits of breast reduction surgery include improved body image and increased confidence. This can increase participation in activities that were previously difficult or uncomfortable.

Everything You Need to Know About Breast Reduction Surgery

When you undergo breast reduction surgery at Dr. Ahmed Abdel Gawad Center, you can expect the following steps:

  1. The surgeon will use a surgical pen to mark the breasts, indicating the locations of the incisions.
  2. The nipple will be repositioned to its new position while still attached to its blood supply.
  3. The surgeon will remove excess fat, tissue, and skin from the breasts.
  4. The remaining breast tissue will be reshaped, and if implants are used, they will be added to achieve the final result.

Breast reduction surgery typically takes two to three hours in the operating room. If more extensive tissue and skin removal are necessary, you may be asked to stay in the hospital for a day or two after surgery for observation and recovery.
